When the generators in a town with thousands of people in remote North Canada break, the lives of the entire town is at risk. As a brutal winter is about to set in, without power the people will have no access to emergency services, warmth or facilities. Ace pilots are scrambled from Yellowknife and load up an old DC-4 warplane but they might not even be able to take off when there's a problem with the vital new generators.
