Rescue/Swim on Cascades at 250 cfs

A quick video from Samantha's swim out of a BAD hole near the lip of Big Kahuna Falls on the Nantahala Cascades, NC. She's not only a great creeker, she's a trooper! Good job hanging in there Sam!

I gave her verbal support and guidance to paddle out, but when I realized she wasn't going to get out I had to quickly, carefully, and methodically to get her a rope. Sometimes it's better to take an extra 10-15 seconds to get it right, than to rush and have to try again. I had to get my boat out safely because if it left the eddy it would have complicated her surf AND the rescue. Communication was constant and the extra support was super helpful... thanks guys! Luckily it worked out... With Big Kahuna immediately below and a fast flush into a very dangerous rapid called Junkyard, I was literally moments away from live baiting in after her.
