Shaapit presents to you all the story of the haunted library of Delhi. I am Mihir Jain with you. Delhi, every year lakhs of people come to this city for their studies. All the three friends of my 3rd batch used to live here in rented flats from other cities. Just 3 months ago, I got admitted to a central university for post graduation. Being a renowned university, there were many facilities here. The four of us used to spend a long time together. It never felt that very soon the lives of the four of us would take a complicated turn. A turn which none of us had imagined. Everything was good in the university but there were many things here which I too had been left in despair for once. Our university had a years old famous library where every book present there seemed to have been written by great authors. This place was the first step to success for lakhs of students. I had also started coming here only a few months ago but I don't know why whenever I stepped into this peaceful environment, where there were only books all around me, I felt the presence of someone else there. It is said that this library was once a place for scholars and literature lovers, but today there is only silence everywhere. There are books here but I don't know why each and every text written here amazes me. Many of my friends had told me stories about this library. Many had even told me that strange things happen here - at night the pages of the books turn by themselves, shadows move on the walls and sometimes a slight rustling sound is also heard, as if someone is whispering something in your ear. One day, while chatting with my friends, I made a bet as to who would be the first to find out the unsolved mysteries related to this library. I, Sunny, Jyoti and Yatharth had decided that tonight we would quietly enter the library after it closes. We had heard that a special book is hidden inside the library, which contains dangerous secrets of the history of this library. We were very excited, but there was some fear in all of our minds. On a cold December night, the four of us were roaming around the university campus after attending our classes. Today's bright night was going to be very exciting for all of us. The four of us friends reached the library with torches and mobiles. There was darkness all around in the library building. Here and there, there was the sound of the caretaker making rounds. Quietly entering the library, the four of us reached inside. The library looked the same as it was, but then Sunny's eyes fell on an old broken wooden door. Opening the door, the four of us looked inside with torches and there was a huge basement inside. At 9 o'clock in the night, the four of us were going to that basement of Jamia where no one had gone for the last 50 years. There were cobwebs hanging all around inside the basement and deep cracks on the wooden doors. The scene inside the basement was extremely scary.
