Train Cab Ride NL / Full Intercity Ride! / Rotterdam - Utrecht - Leeuwarden / ICM / February 2024

Welcome! This time we'll take a ride on the Intercity service all the way from Rotterdam to Leeuwarden. A full intercity ride! Enjoy! :D

Arriving at Amersfoort Centraal. Tracks from Amsterdam joining in. And after departure the track towards Leusden splitting up on the right.

Slightly delayed train ahead. We'll take it slow for a short time. On the right side the tracks towards Apeldoorn and Barneveld are splitting up.

Right after Putten some extra tracks so trains can pass each other if needed.

At this point we have the sharpest turn at this speed in our country. A long sharp turn to the right at 110km/h. Always a fun turn to make.

Wrong speed signal (40km/h). We must drive on sight until the next main light signal. And report to the train dispatcher afterwards.

Here we make a long stop (not forwarded) to take over passengers from other connecting trains. The most important one is the train coming from the Amsterdam direction towards Groningen.

After this station you can see the tracks towards Groningen splitting up to the right.

At this route we'll encounter a few small bridges without overhead wires. The trains systems will keep on working on batteries as the train passes the bridge. Motors must be shut off while passing.

Cleaning the rust off the most left track in the station and its switches. This causes a small delay. Rust on tracks can cause problems therefor we must drive a few trains a day over tracks like this.

Approaching Leeuwarden. The final stop for this train. In just a few kilometers we'll arrive with a two minute delay. Let's hope all passengers made it to their connecting trains.
