Every year my wife and I host an event at our house called Hell on the Hill.

Here’s the backstory...

Our lake house in CT has a BIG and STEEP hill (38% incline). I incorporated that hill it into my workouts. 10 years ago I asked my friends if they thought anyone could run 100 laps up and down my hill. The idea for HELL ON THE HILL was born.

A week later we had a sign up form on line. 20 people registered. Today the race is a capped at 100 people and there is wait list of 4,000.

This event is special. We convert every room into bunkbed rooms to fit most of the 100 people. Each runner chooses a charity and Sara and I donate $1000 to that charity on their behalf.

Before the race each participant stands up and talks about who they are running for. It’s the best part of the day. To date we have donated well over $1 million dollars supporting over 200 charities.

What an honor to be able to support so many amazing causes. Feel so unbelievably lucky to be in that position. 🙏
