Here is a leash and collar combination that can help keep drivers aware of your location. These are the GloPup LED Leash and Collar. The GloPup LED Leash and Collar are battery operated using two, 3 volt lithium batteries. They are designed with polyester webbing, hardened plastic buckles and a stainless steel bolt snap. The length of the leash can be adjusted and the manufacturer states that the collar can be used as an everyday collar. We have some reservations about leaving anything with any size battery on a dog for a prolonged period of time so we suggest using this only when necessary. However, in low level light conditions, this leash and collar could be a valuable safety tool because the LED core can be seen from 1000 feet away. While this may be true of the collar which seems very bright, the leash is only very bright near the handle and becomes dimmer towards the end that connects to your dog. The GloPup LED Leash and Collar combination has 3 modes of light solid, slow blink and fast blink. GloPup says the batteries will produce 48 hours on blinking mode after which you have to replace them by sliding out the switch-box and using a tiny Phillips head screwdriver to remove the backing. The GloPup LED Leash and Collar have reflective stitching and are weather and water resistant.
