Welcome to Part 1 of my Thymesia playthrough — It's me, Eletodd jumping into this souls-like action RPG. I played it at launch a few years ago.

This opening episode is focused entirely on the tutorial area, where I break down the core systems and learn how Thymesia actually plays. Although it has a bit of a Bloodborne aesthetic and some souls like mechanics it also plays closer to a parry heavy Sekiro. I'll cover the basics of movement, dodging, parries, wound mechanics, plague weapons, and how combat flow differs from more traditional souls-like games.

This is by no means a complete walkthrough as It's been years since I played this last. But, if you’re new to Thymesia or curious how its systems work before committing to a full playthrough, this episode serves as a solid starting point.

Thymesia is a fast-paced souls-like action RPG developed by OverBorder Studio, featuring a dark fantasy world plagued by disease and corruption.
Players control Corvus, a deadly warrior who uses swift melee combat, parries, dodges, and plague-based abilities to overwhelm enemies. The game emphasizes aggressive play, precise timing, and managing enemy wounds rather than traditional stamina-heavy combat.

With its gothic atmosphere, boss-driven progression, and flexible combat builds, Thymesia offers a unique and faster-paced take on the souls-like genre.
