TRANSCRIPT:

(sigh)

We are aware of the recent tragic shooting event in Maine.
That kind of situation is very traumatic and has impacted all over the world...
this country...
New England...
and, especially, Maine...

Myself as a poet, knowing that creating a poem will not improve, resolve,
recover from the tragic event 100%...
but the purpose of the poem is to show
respect, support, care, and love.

New England...
in the countryside...
A growing tree with green leaves brightening...
Flowers growing and blooming...
A moose clomping...
A bear rambling and sniffing...
An eagle spreading its wings, flapping and soaring...
Fish swimming and jumping out of water...

(gunshot)

(bang) The moose stopped and frowned...
(bang) The bear stopped and sighed...
(bang) The eagle landed and closed its wings...
(bang) The fish slowly swim deeply...

New England...
all turned to Maine...
where the tree’s first leaf begin to fall...
second leaf falling...
third leaf falling...
and fourth leaf falling...
all dying leaves on the ground...

The moose’s hoofbeats drumming...
The bear’s silhouette pounding...
The eagle’s wings singing...
The fish’s fins thrumming...

All looking in one direction and remembering...
