Good value for the money.
After reading several of the reviews (good and bad) I ended up ordering this product as it was the most I wanted to spend for a roof mount of my basketball hoop.
OK - Here's my 2 cents!
1 - This product does NOT include the screws to mount it to the roof. The manual clearly states that the screws are not included. This actually makes sense since the manufacturer doesn't know if you're going to mount it into wood, metal, tile, so this didn't phase me. $3.00 worth of lag screws at the local hardware store was all I needed.
2 - The instructions... well they crammed a BUNCH of languages into it! BUT they are actually easy to follow if you sit down and read them in your living room in a nice comfortable chair... in the air-conditioning instead of in the direct heat of the sun in the driveway. :) This product can be mounted three ways - to a pole, to the wall, or to the roof. The first section of the instructions is putting the brackets on the backboard, then you have to look for the section that applies to your mounting style.
Construction - Well, it's similar to other Lifetime products in this price range. It's very basic but the metal is a bit thicker than what comes on Lifetime's $100-$200 portable unit. I was actually pleased with the thickness of the metal compared to the existing bracket on the backboard.

I would buy this again.
