Step into the shadows of the Völsunga Saga, where Fafnir, once a dwarf, once a brother, transforms into the most feared dragon of Norse legend. This is the tale of how cursed gold can twist a heart, how envy devours kinship, and how a single ring can birth a monster.

Through cinematic ritual soundscapes, tribal percussion, and haunting Old Norse chants, we walk beside Fafnir from his mortal life to his serpent throne, guarding treasures that cost him everything. The hero Sigurd approaches through ash and rain, steel meets flame, and the cycle of greed echoes through the ages.

🔥 THE MYTHOLOGY 🔥

Fafnir's story begins with Andvari's cursed gold, a hoard that promised power but delivered only destruction. After slaying his father Hreidmar for the treasure, Fafnir's greed consumed him so completely that he transformed into a dragon, coiling around his gold in a dark cave. His brother Regin would later send the hero Sigurd to slay him, continuing the curse's bloody path. Fafnir's tale warns us: the treasures we hoard can become the prisons we inhabit.

This song weaves tagelharpa and layered ritual vocals to capture both the intimacy of Fafnir's transformation and the epic scale of his downfall.
