In a (SN Goenka) Vipassana Meditation 10-Day training retreat—in the Discourse on Day 4—we are taught about:

The four aggregates of the mind:
1. Viñāna -consciousness, cognition
2. Saññā-perception, recognition, evaluation
3. Vedanā-sensation
4. Saṅkhāra-reaction; mental conditioning

This is what immediately came to my mind when listening to Professor Harari's superb lecture.

This may well be another example of emerging science of mind validating the ancient teachings and findings of Gotama the Buddha.
