The Tupolev Tu-160, also known as the "BlackJack," is a supersonic strategic bomber designed and manufactured by the Tupolev Design Bureau, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) in Russia.

The Tu-160 is the largest and heaviest combat aircraft ever built, and it has a top speed of over Mach 2 (approximately 2,200 km/h or 1,370 mph) at high altitudes. It has a range of over 12,000 km (7,500 mi) without refueling, and it is capable of carrying a wide range of conventional and nuclear weapons.

The Tu-160 was first introduced into service with the Russian Air Force in 1987 and has since undergone several upgrades, including the addition of modern avionics and weapons systems. As of 2021, around 16 Tu-160s remain in service with the Russian Air Force, with plans to modernize and upgrade them in the coming years
