I finally made it to Torreya State Park in Bristol, Florida. I went on Saturday and again on Sunday, Mother’s Day. I’m late uploading this video due to the length of it and the time it took to edit it and then finish uploading.
Torreya State Park is a phenomenal area, extremely beautiful...even with all the damaged trees from Hurricane Michael. There’s two main hiking trails here, the Torreya Trail (very easy hiking trail) and the Torreya Challenge Trail (which is the most difficult trail in Florida). We walked only partial way down the Torreya Challenge Trail before we came upon an area that really filled us with a horrible gut feeling to leave, and that’s exactly what we did. I seen what I can only describe as a colored man peek out from behind a large tree at us.... and that was our cue to leave immediately. I will definitely be returning to this trail again soon, but I’ll be going with Chris Claghorn (Claghorn Outdoors on YouTube).. We had a wonderful time in Torreya State Park, it’s very easy to see why there’s been so many encounters and sightings there!
