Peter Munk, successful businessman and philanthropist, considers moving to Canada “his lucky break”, after having escaped the Nazi Regime in Hungary in 1944. After co-founding Clairtone, manufacturer of high quality and design stereos, Munk made his fortunes founding the Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation and eventually, Barrick Gold – the world’s largest gold mining company.
