The Tirril Burner is one of the most used laboratory equipment because unlike the Bunsen Burner, the Tirrill burner heats a larger area, provides more air for a hotter flame, and has both air and gas controls. Also, it is more refined.

This video shows how to build the Tirril Burner from its parts and how to light it. To turn off the tirril burner, you do it backwards.
