This is a description of an LED audio level indicator or VU Meter circuit driving 5 LEDs. It uses the graphic level IC KA2281. This is a stereo LED level indicator circuit and has two channels. We have wired only a single channel for demonstration purpose. The music is played by a smartphone and the audio input signal is taken from the output of a two stage audio amplifier. It shows dynamic response to the audio input signal and has 5 different colors for LED indication. This IC is given 9 volts DC supply voltage.
