Where to start? Read a book. Really. I don't advise using boilerplate software packages. Pick up a business plan book and work your way through the process. Writing the plan is how you get your head around exactly what this business will look like, how much it will cost, and where it will be. The business plan is a road map once you begin and a life line when things inevitably go sideways. If you've got a good plan, you'll be in much better shape, and it it may even save your business.
