I have digitized my entire video library of wood-turning masterpieces and have made a selection of over 1700 pieces from 120 artists.
I believe that I have found the perfect tool to share the “Beyond Wood Collection” with the largest audience possible: create an e-book series. The e-book series will be composed of 13 volumes, formatted for iPad, Mac, PC, Android tablets and smartphone apps. The entire series will be distributed as a FREE download from multiple servers in North America, Europe, Australia and a distribution from Apple & Google Free e-book stores with over 51 countries.

Each volume will feature approximately 130 Videos, with the artists listed in alphabetical order along with their most recent resumes and bios. Each volume will also feature interviews of one or more artists presented as “mini-documentaries”. These mini-documentaries will include exclusive and rare interviews with some of the most notable artists in the field including some of the early pioneers; Bob Stocksdale, Rude Osolnik, Ray Allen, David Ellsworth, William Hunter, just to name a few.

The series will be released over a period of two years with the first volume scheduled to launch in the Spring of 2015. I expect the series will reach a minimum of 100,000 downloads with in the first few months and should easily reach One Million downloads by the end of the project.

The “Beyond Wood Collection” is an historical selection of works that are both unique and timeless. Not only will the series reach a majority of wood turners worldwide but also art lovers, collectors, galleries, museums, curators and artists of all media not to mention providing a great reference for teachers and art schools.
