Naturhike Mongar 2 and wild camp

I needed a new 2 man tent. So I looked around and saw the Naturehike Mongar 2 on Temu for just £78 (down from £130), so I snapped it up.

Although it was a bit fiddly to get up the first time, it will be a lot easier the second time.

I was joined on this wild camp by my good friends Simon (who doesn't like cameras), Steve who hasn't been on the channel for over a year and the one and only Gav!! makes a triumphant return. We had a great night until we all ran out of booze and had to go to bed.

Pros about the tent:
1. Its very spacious
2. Can sit up in it no problem
3. Feels robust and made with good materials
4. Great price
5. Comes with the footprint
6. 2 doors so great for ventilation in summers
7. Summer option to leave the fly sheet at home and just camp in the mesh tent.

Cons about the tent:
1. Its inner pitch first
2. Can be a bit fiddly (especially when trying to get the poles through little hoops in the corners)
3. A little on the heavy side at 2.4kg but if you chose the ultralight option then that drops down to 1.8kg at an extra cost of £30 - £60 depending on where you purchase it.
4. Advertised as a 3 man but in my opinion it's definitely a 2 season tent
5. Not easy to put up in wind and rain
