Mrs Laufou Moka Siosiua Afford a Faithful woman, mother who loved and served her God, Jesus Christ with passion and grace. A wife, mother and a teacher and the bread earner of the family, survived with her children after her first husband, Siosiua passed away in 1977.
Blessed to teach in a New Zealand Primary school in Grey Lynn, Auckland from 1968 and returned to Niue at the end of 1968.
Her return to NZ opened a new chapter for Laufou and established a wonderful relationship with her late husband's Pen friend and later got married.
Laufou married James Afford (her late husband's pen friend) blessed the family with a wonderful home base where her 6 children reside today.
The legacy of Laufou stretches her reaches throughout the local community, such as one of the founding members of the distinctive award winner of the Niuean Gospel Choirs, MUMT (Mutalau Ululautaha Mutalu Trust, the Niuean Pre-school, and elderly care functions.
Her sudden passing in 2005 left some challenging issues for the children, but nothing that can't be dealt with the Lords Riches Blessings.
So, as the family gathers some of the old footage of Nana Fou,s life, we start with her final farewell with the Family Service held at the Royal Oak Seventh Day Adventists Church.
Cremated at the Waitekere Cemetery and buried with her husband James Afford, but her spirit lives on in our lives.
