South Africa is one of 20 countries back on Air China’s international flight schedule as the airline resumed weekly flights to Johannesburg after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gauteng Tourism Authority’s chief marketing officer Barba Gaogandeiwe-Matshogo described the development as a significant boost for tourism, trade, investment, and diplomatic relations between South Africa and China.
