Breaking: Massive Landslide in Sudan’s Darfur Kills Over 1,000, Village Completely Destroyed

A massive landslide has devastated Sudan’s western Darfur region, killing over 1,000 people in the village of Tarasin, Marra mountains. Triggered by days of heavy rain, the disaster buried victims under debris and completely destroyed the village, the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) said. With only one survivor, the SLM has appealed to the UN and aid groups for urgent help as Sudan already battles a worsening humanitarian crisis amid civil war.
