Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate takes everything amazing about Megamind, puts it in a blender, force-feeds it down your throat, and then causes you to lose brain cells in a very painful way. It’s almost as if DreamWorks Animation Television had this admittedly promising concept for an actual Megamind sequel, but throws it out of the window and boy did they do just that. We are gonna give a summary in full detail of why Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate fails on so many levels that you almost have to admire the audacity of the film’s awfulness.

Some people often say, “Um actually, you can’t judge a book by its cover”. Bullshit. Of course you can. See for yourself judging by the awful trailer for the first 17 seconds and tell us whether or not Megamind was doomed. All you have to do is watch the trailer and then you will know that this is gonna be a Cinematic Disaster. And gee, what do you know? Nearly everyone on the internet was right. So much for not judging a book by its cover. But really, Megamind was one of those movies where a sequel and a TV show would NOT work and honestly, the first movie was already fine enough on its own. Overall, go watch the first movie and Button of Doom instead. The former is a Subversive Masterpiece, while the latter is a much better follow up to Megamind. Enough said.
