Gadhakalika Temple is located in Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh. The ancient poet Kalidas Garh was a worshiper of Kalika Devi. Regarding Kalidas, it is believed that ever since he started worshiping in this temple, his brilliant personality started developing. 'Shyamla Dandak' Mahakali Stotra written by Kalidas is a beautiful composition. It is said that this stotra was the first to appear from the mouth of the great poet. Here every year before the Kalidas festival, Goddess Kalika is worshipped.

Kaal Bhairav ​​Temple is a Hindu temple located in the city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to Kaal Bhairav, the patron deity of the city. Located on the banks of River Shipra, it is one of the most active temples in the city, attracting hundreds of devotees daily. Liquor is one of the offerings to the temple deity Liquor is offered to the temple deity as part of one of the five tantric rituals known as Panchamkara: madya (liquor), manasa (meat), Meena or Matsya (fish), Mudra (bhava or dry grain) and Maithuna (sexual intercourse). In olden times, all five offerings were offered to the deity, but now only wine is offered; The other four offerings are in the form of symbolic rituals. The present temple structure was built on the remains of an older temple. The original temple is believed to have been built by an unknown king named Bhadrasen. It has been mentioned in the Avanti section of Skanda Purana. Images of Shiva, Parvati, Vishnu and Ganesha belonging to the Paramara period (9th–13th century CE) have been recovered from the site. The walls of the temple were once decorated with Malwa paintings. However, only traces of these paintings are now visible.

This temple is situated away from the bustle of the city and can be reached through a winding road. The temple looks upon a vast expanse of the Shipra waters and fills the onlooker with an indescribable sense of peace. Mangalnath is regarded as the birth place of Mars, according to the Matsya Purana. In ancient times, it was famous for a clear view of the planet and hence suitable for astronomical studies. Mahadev or Shiva is the deity which is worshipped in the temple of Mangalnath.

temple.According to the Shiva Purana, when Shiva carried away the burning body of Sati from the sacrificial fire, her elbow dropped at this place. There is an interesting legend in the Skanda Purana about the manner in which the Goddess Chandi acquired the epithet of Harsiddhi.
