I thought this was an interesting crossover scene detailing the cover-up for Operation Blackbriar (successor to Operation Treadstone) in the US Senate hearings taking place between the endings of ''The Bourne Legacy'' and ''The Bourne Ultimatum''. Cool stuff.


The plot of this film tries to explain that other cia programs similar to treadstone got affected by the aftermath of the complete shutdown. It's meant to explain there are others like Bourne and this how some of them, in this case Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross, an agent of Operation Outcome program being affected by the shutdown. I personally enjoyed this underrated germ.
