India Exports First Akash Weapon System to Armenia, Marking Major Defence Milestone | News9

BEL has flagged off the first Akash Weapon System Battery for export to Armenia, marking a significant achievement in India’s growing defense exports. The Akash missile, developed by DRDO, is a medium-range surface-to-air system capable of targeting aircraft up to 45 km away. Armenia has been strengthening defense ties with India, securing deals for artillery, radars, and missiles, with the Akash missile deal valued at approximately $720 million. This export reflects India's growing capabilities in defense technology and manufacturing.
