Описание к видео Jacob Collier - Human Nature | Denver 2025

When humans listen for, and then tune into the harmonies within the love and connection they can create, their nature is to simply radiate an energy that quite perhaps transcends what we call space and time. Jacob offered us this reminder tonight, full of light, full of life, full of love.

‪@jacobcollier‬ , what a deep and reverberating blessing it is to have your energy here, with us, right now, in this life. Thank you for being you, and for sharing your being. I hope our collective presence within these shared moments, held in the music, will fill your cup as much as it fills ours. Much love ~

See his guitar strap? I'm not so certain the coalescing of his energy is quite able to be contained within the form of matter that is giving its best effort. :)

~ This video is unedited... just sayin'.

Transcript below-because your words, ‪@jacobcollier‬ , bring life.

..."beautiful or small or you take something strange or challenging, or scary, and but you can play them [instruments], and when you play them..it becomes..it changes its nature and it becomes really a source of joy. I think that joy is like immensely important, and also indistinguishable um thing in the world. It's so utterly important. And so I just feel really, really lucky to be making music at this time.

I think it's the most important time to be human I've ever lived through. I'm only 12 years old, but you know, thus far, this is a good one. This is a time for people to really be people. And I'll say one more thing, which is that, you know, I met a lot of people when I was small who were, I would think of as very hard people. They walk around this [demonstrates forcefulness, harshness]. "I know best. Yeah, I'm going to control everyone and everything." But I really think that the people who were my greatest inspirations, and the people who made it possible for me to be Jacob, they were the soft people. And I really, really think we need soft people right now. And music has....

00:00:59
[audience interrupts with applause] Thank you so much. To me, music has this ability to soften us. Like, you walk into a music venue, "Yeah. I'm off to the botanical gardens, bro. Yeah. I'm from Denver bro. Yeah."

And then you sit down and Darwin Deez starts to play, and you think, "Oh, I'm a little softer." And isn't that an amazing thing? It's such a special thing. So, I think that, as I say baked into music and its nature are a lot of the lessons that make us better people and I think I'm a much better person for not just making music [00:01:31], but just for listening to it because it encourages me to listen to you. [and] I think listening is such an important place for things to for things to begin.

You know, one of my biggest champions as a child was a man who I thought of as this absolute totem pole, this total legend. I thought, "well if I ever meet this man. I bet he's a really like strong and powerful and hard figure". Turns out, he was wiggly as hell. And his name is Quincy Jones. Quincy Jones. Yeah. And Quincy Jones, he taught me so many [00:02:05] things. He unconditionally supported me for some reason. He said, "You know, Jacob, you've got something, and you just need to keep on being Jacob." And I really needed to hear that. I think everyone needs that champion of some kind at that time in their life. Quincy really, he, I've observed him in the world and I saw how he was with people, he was so deeply loving, and so open, and so courageous. Um and I just, I think I might play a song, a Quincy song, if that's okay? It feels like a nice [00:02:31] thing to do. And so I I'd like to dedicate this to Quincy, and also to all the people in the world who are soft, and all the people in the world who are suffering, and to all of you for listening with such attention and such beauty.

Thank you so, so very much everybody."
