2023 Porsche 718 Boxster in-depth Walkaround

The 2023 Porsche 718 Boxster sees mostly minor changes for the model year. Exterior color choices have been revised, with Lava Orange, Frozenberry Metallic, and Dolomite Silver no longer available, while Ice Grey and Arctic Grey are now offered. Apple CarPlay integration is now standard across the model lineup, and the previous Porsche Connect app has been replaced by the My Porsche app. Otherwise, the 718 Boxster retains the same iconic top-down driving experience.

Under the hood, the entry-level 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster T are powered by a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 300 horsepower. The 718 Boxster S features a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine that generates 350 horsepower, while the naturally-aspirated 3.0L boxer 6-cylinder in the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 and 718 Spyder cranks out 394 or 414 horsepower, respectively.

Transmission options include a 7-speed PDK transmission with a manual shift mode and a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) is an optional system that enhances driving dynamics and stability.

The fabric convertible top of the 718 Boxster maintains the car's sleek profile when raised. Porsche's signature design elements, such as chiseled wheel arches and character lines, are present, and the interior features ergonomic controls within reach. The latest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 7-inch multi-touch screen offers access to key multimedia functions. The 718 Boxster offers extensive personalization options to make it uniquely yours.
