Dedicated to the Men of the Sea, The Hardworking Fishermen of Kish Island - 2014

In October 2014, I received a request to produce a video for the commemoration ceremony of native fishermen on Kish Island in Iran. The task included selecting an excerpt from works I had recorded since 1995. This endeavour was a voluntary tribute to the resilient men of the sea—the dedicated fishermen of Kish Island.
During my tenure from 1995 to 2019, working on Kish Island provided me with invaluable experiences. Among them, the profound connection forged with these noble, moral, and kind men remains one of the highlights of my time on that beautiful island. To honour their efforts and steadfast spirit, I compiled this video with the utmost desire and enthusiasm in a short period to be broadcast in the desired ceremony. #FishermenTribute

در مهرماه 1393، درخواستی برای تهیه یک فیلم برای مراسم گرامیداشت ماهیگیران بومی جزیره کیش در ایران دریافت کردم. این کار شامل گزیده ای از تصاویری بود که از سال 1374 در جزیره کیش ضبط کرده بودم. از آنجایی که این گردآوری برای من ، ادای احترام به مردان مقاوم دریا - ماهیگیران پرتلاش جزیره کیش بود که تجربه همکاری طولانی مدت با آنها داشتم، با کمال میل آن را پذیرفتم
در طول دوره کاری من از سال 1374 تا 1398 در جزیره کیش تجربیات با ارزشی را بدست آوردم، در میان آنها،آشنایی و کار با این مردان سخت کوش، نجیب و مهربان،از تجربیات فراموش نشدنی در آن جزیره زیبا بود. بزرگواری، اخلاق و انسانیت آنها خاطره شیرینی است که همیشه با من است. این ویدیو را با هدف ارج نهادن به تلاش و روحیه ثابت قدم آنها با نهایت میل واشتیاق در مدت کوتاهی گردآوری و تدوین کردم تا در مراسم مورد نظر پخش شود و حضور در آن جلسه و مرور خاطرات گذشته و تماشای تصاویر در کنار هم بسیار لذت بخش بود
