Before this train could move from the track, it was coming from behind. Visakhapatnam Rayagada Express hit the passenger train standing on the track, due to which the two rear coaches of Palasa Express and the loco coach of Rayagada Express derailed, and both the loco pilots of Rayagada Passenger train along with 13 people lost their lives. and more than 50 people have been injured! According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, over-shooting of signal could also be a reason behind this accident. Over shooting is a human error, in which a train moves ahead instead of stopping after receiving a red signal, which can lead to such an accident. And it is also being said that armor system was not installed on this railway track too.
