This Turkish chicken kebab recipe is super tasty and healthier than your lamb or beef kebabs. Cooked on a barbecue or, like me, on a griddle pan, it develops a wonderful smoky flavour. You can marinade both the chicken and the kebab sauce for two hours, or leave overnight as I did to develop those lovely flavours to the max. Ingredients are for two hungry people. Enjoy!

Kebab ingredients
450g diced chicken (thigh or breast)
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic sliced/minced
1 tsp tomato puree
1/2 450g tub of Greek yoghurt
1 lemon (juice only)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp chilli powder

Kebab sauce ingredients
1/2 450g tub of Greek yoghurt
160g jar of tahini paste plus a small amount of water
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried dill
1 tsp dried mint
1 tsp garlic powder

Salad ingredients
Finely shredded red cabbage
Shredded iceberg lettuce
1 tomato
1/2 lemon (juice only)
Salt to taste
