Why We're LEAVING MEXICO and Going Back to the US?!?

It all happened so fast...now we need to drive back to the border. During the long drive, a LOT happened.

After coming back from Ajijic, Mexico we found out we had to go back to the US/Mexico border...PRONTO! This is what happened on the first day of the road trip there. We left Guadalajara and headed toward Saltillo, Mexico for the night.

Expats in Mexico need to either go through a residency process to become a temporary or permanent resident in Mexico OR return to the border every 180 days to get a new tourist visa. Well, there's also the option of living illegally in Mexico but we don't recommend that.

In this video, you'll see what it's like to go through toll roads in Mexico, we go through Mexican military checkpoints, and we talk about what it's like traveling in Mexico.
