What a cool place to live! A busy 2 track railroad crossing owned by Norfolk Southern Railroad is right next to it and I filmed a long manifest train heading to Cincinnati. This house and huge train are in Miamisburg, Ohio. Also, abandoned railroad tracks with a switch and switch stand still in place are included at the end of the video. The abandoned tracks just had a frog and some rails removed recently. There will never be a train on them again and they will probably be removed soon. They are located off the Norfolk Southern main line just south of downtown Miamisburg. The industries that they served are gone and the land is being repurposed. The train that I filmed in this video had an interesting locomotive leading it. It is NS #4000 which was painted in a special scheme after being converted from DC to AC. It was originally built by General Electric in January of 1995. In August 2015 it was rebuilt from a Dash 9 40C into a AC44C6M and repainted into the colourful scheme. It is 4,400 HP with a GE widenose and cab. The only units with the special paint scheme were numbers 4000 to 4005 so I was lucky to catch it leading. The best frequencies to use for this location is 160.980 and 452.9375 for EOT. There is a nearby defect detector at MP 51.3 and just across the river is a busy CSX line.
