Cool game. Nice graphics, sound and overall presentation. It encourages you to go for score naturally which is fun. Its very accessible to novice players with its shield system, an abundance of bomb/shield drops; and bomb replenishes shield on easy/normal difficulties. Enemies often show themselves & their pattern so its easy to remember whats coming and place yourself. Still I barely cleared it on normal (my first clear!), though I was getting really into its scoring system of killing enemies up close which often got me in trouble. Really recommend it for newcomers or novices to the genre.
