2 Weeks Overlanding in Maine (ep. 4)

In this final episode of Jeep Into Maine I visit Bar Harbor to do some business. Afterwards I drive along the Loop Road and hike some Acadian coastal and interior trails, ending up on a mountain with gorgeous views of the distant ocean. The trail also leads to a giant boulder perched on the edge of a precipice. The next day I reward myself with a coin operated hot shower and chat with camp neighbors. Lobster rolls, kayaking Somes Sound and a tour of the Ursa Minor camper round out the final day at Mount Desert. After 11 days in the field, my ankle requires medical attention as I hit the road to Portland, but the sunset views provide some consolation & a spectacular conclusion to this epic Maine road trip. August 2023.
