Join Methods Mondays to learn about PA-X Peace Agreements Database and PeaceRep approaches to studying peace processes. The Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep) consortium is working on a variety of research projects related to better understanding the key features and prospects of contemporary peace and transition processes. At the heart of the programme is the PA-X Peace Agreement Database and Dataset, the largest fully digitised and searchable English-language database of peace agreements, which also features a human-coded dataset of peace agreement provisions and a corpus of agreement texts. This talk will present the PA-X and related data resources, discuss the PeaceRep approach to data collection, and the text-as-data methodologies we rely on to better understand how processes of post-war political and institutional change can take place.

Featured Speaker: Dr. Badanjak is a Chancellor's Fellow in Global Challenges at the University of Edinburgh's School of Law, and an affiliate of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep), where she has been working as data manager for PA-X Peace Agreements Database and Dataset.
