This arrived in a matt black box with images of the grill on sides along with specifications and some additional details. Once opened the user manual and recipe book are on top with the grill insert fitted into the polystyrene packaging, and bubble wrapped for protection with the temperature probe in the side. The main grill is sandwiched between bespoke polystyrene and wrapped in plastic.

After unpacking everything I gave all the removable parts a good wash and read through the manual. The user manual is in several different languages with English being the second language, I found this clear to follow and understand along with having linked identification diagrams. The supplied recipe book I thought somewhat underwhelming also being multilingual mixed on each page and only covering a few dishes.

First impressions: this is quite a heavy unit with the lid being the heaviest part, it does sit nicely on a flat surface with rubber feet. The tray removes easily with a release catch on the handle and the splatter guard also has a quick and easy release for cleaning. The advert does say “LED Touch Screen and Timer” it does have an LED display but it is not touch screen and each control is a push button on the panel. The whole look of the unit is quite a nice design.

I first tried it out cooking a small chicken on the roast setting which it did a good job of, and setting it to cook was fairly straight forward. I then tried cooking some chipped potatoes after drying them and covering them with a small amount of olive oil on the air fry setting, which I didn’t think it did a great job of. I did shake them several times during the cooking but still found the browning to be patchy although they were all fully cooked, just not all crisped. I tried out the grill which worked well and I did test the intelligent temperature probe which worked perfectly, although I would only use it normally if I didn’t have one as it’s not as straight forward as a separate unit.

Overall this has a good 5.6 Litre capacity with everything being easy to remove and clean. I found the grill and roasting worked really well but I didn’t think the air frying feature great, and I have since tried some frozen chips and found the result equally as patchy as with fresh potatoes. It did a good job cooking chicken wings and sausages even from frozen, and quite quickly. Overall this is a large capacity multifunction machine that in my opinion works well on all of the features apart from the air frying and has a spurious claim of having a LED touch screen.
