Best Thai Food of 2023 || 100% Home-Grown Menu of Amazing Northern Thai Food in Pua, Nan

Pua District in Nan has to be one of the prettiest, most quiet, and most TASTY places to spend a weekend. Whether you are here hunting for some of Thailand's biggest climbs (cycling :) ), or for a quiet place to explore the best food of Northern Thailand, Pua is high on my personal list for all-around favorite places in this country we call our home.

Li and I are loving the chance to visit this out of the way gem of Northern Thailand, and its also the place that we pick for our Best Meal of the Year! The Auntie and Uncle who run the "Tai Khua" restaurant out of their own home are just the sweetest couple, Uncle tends the garden and wow can Auntie cook. The way they run the restaurant though is beautiful, cooking only a certain selection of items each day (maximizing freshness), using almost entirely vegetables growing UNDER the restaurant (wait til you see the construction!).

The atmosphere, the timing, the dishes, and the flavors, we give this a 10/10 across the board. Well deserving of being our most memorable and beautiful meal of a very good year of 2023.
