Ankit Srivastava is a Digital Growth Strategist, an Author and an Educational Activist that strongly identifies the flaws in the Asian education system which tends to reward test scores as compared to pragmatic aptitude. He believes in the concept of open learning mechanisms that facilitates the probationers to acquire skills/knowledge based on their predilections.

He promotes and campaigns for unconventional career choices. Ankit is also a Gen Z, Gen Y campaigner and has been deeply involved in understanding the challenges they face and their psychology towards making decisions.

Ankit Srivastava asked the crowd a simple question which was followed by a stunned silence. He raised certain questions which, on their faces, had plain, one line answers but through introspection, it was found that it required deep thought. 'Why?' was not the question. 'Why not?' was. Mr. Srivastava pointed out how a question with a negative ended up surging a spark if positivity and brilliance among people along with conservation of time and energy. The determination to choose the road less travelled stood out and shone in plain sight. Ankit Srivastava founded 'The Urban Llama’ in 2016 with the vision to make unconventional wisdom conventional, an organisation which was later absorbed by Knowledge Woods Consulting, a training company where he works with the industry leaders to build a flexible learning platform. Being an educational activist, Mr. Srivastava has recognised the flaws in the educational system often giving an exceedingly large weightage to test scores rather than pragmatic attitude.

He is also an authour presently working on two books, a social media influencer, an event manager and a public speaker. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
