The opposition party accuses the government of breaking its '420 promises' and criticises the hike for male passengers, arguing it negates the free travel scheme for women. The BRS's primary demand is for the government to "roll back the decision taken by Congress party to increase the bus fares." The protest was called by BRS Working President KTR.
