There is so much more to being paralyzed than just losing the ability to walk. Loss of bowel and bladder function is BY FAR the biggest and most inconvenient loss. It is frustrating and embarrassing to have to come to terms with new ways of living that look totally different than what you know. But with enough experience, there comes a time when things that seemed so frustrating become nonchalant and even funny. A time when you can pee your pants and not skip a beat. When you can laugh at shit stories even when they are about you.

Life is too short to waste it complaining. Let's all try to find the lighter side of life and make each other laugh, even if it's at our own expense. Enjoy!
