The following video contains selected clips from an encounter with endangered Southern Resident killer whales in Haro Strait in the Salish Sea as part of Wild Orca’s conservation research program on July 25, 2022.

During this event, members of J Pod were observed to engage with, and ultimately kill a harbor porpoise, demonstrating a behavior known as Phocoenacide.
