Rear Suspension Tech Talk with Phastek Performance

Last week we covered some suspension upgrades for the 5th Gen Camaro. This week we are here to show you what needs to be done to install some of the new parts available!!

The rear cradle was dropped out of this 5th Gen to get the rear sub frame bushings out and install the NEW Pegasus solid mount version. But dont worry, you can do this in your garage!! A lift is not needed, just makes things a bit easier!!

We compare the BMR Suspension toe rods and the trailing arms to the thin factory pieces. The larger BMR Suspension suspension parts will take a lot of the deflection out of your suspension. And when moving a 5th Gen Camaro that weighs in at over 4,000lbs, the less deflection you have the better your time will be.

The last part of the install will include the Hendrix differential bushings. There are a few different options available but all of them will accomplish the same result. The bushings allow for less articulation when the suspension is put under a heavy load, so in turn the axles are releaved of a bit of stress.
