Battle for Pearl was incorrect. First round the bomber hit and I should not have taken away the USA sub. We will have this fixed on the USA turn.

It's the game that started it all. It's so simple... yet I have no idea what I am doing. I started with cardboard chit war games when I was 9 and found Axis and Allies along the way, circa 1985. I burned through one copy to where I had to buy another around 1988. (Well, college takes a toll and there was a lot of horseplay involved.) Then life happened and my blue box was relegated to storage for decades. It went with me through a dozen states and two marriages, kids, 6 presidents, and 2 careers before it saw the light of day again. I picked up Global '40 after seeing it played at Origins in 2022 and found a community in which to play. In July of 2024 I unearthed the blue box once again. It was like cracking open an ancient tomb, untouched for decades instead of centuries, but the awe and excitement was the same for me.
