If you love sage green as much as I do, you're in the right place! I love the beautiful, calming, nature effect of sage green. I am sharing my go-to sage green colors and I have reached out to each brand to get their most popular sage green paint colors.
In my daughter's room we Escape Gray from Sherwin Williams. This color has a timeless quality that appears as a combination of gray and green, resulting in a pleasant and soothing sage green that is considered one of the best sage green paint colors. Escape Gray works great on walls, trim, flooring, pretty much anywhere.
Evergreen Fog from Sherwin Williams is similar but slightly darker sage green, which was a Sherwin Williams color of the year just a few years ago. Like Escape Gray, it will look wonderful anywhere in your home.
Sherwin Williams' Clary Sage has a slight yellow undertone, which makes it a warm, soft, herbal sage green color. Places to consider using this color is anywhere - walls, accent walls, furniture, cabinets, doors, trim, and floors.
Benjamin Moore also offers some amazing sage green colors.
Saybrook Sage is a beautiful and versatile neutral color with a shade of green. It's depth of color is similar to that of Sherwin Williams Escape Gray. You can use this green hue to paint your walls, trim, floors, cabinets, furniture, or even the exterior of your house. It is a lovely color that will add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space.
Benjamin Moore's October Mist has a more grayish-green hue than Saybrook Sage and Escape Gray, despite having similar LRV. If you're looking for a color that leans more toward gray-green, then try this shade from Benjamin Moore.
Soft Fern from Benjamin Moore is a slightly lighter color than the others. It's great for cottagecore or farmhouse style homes. It's great for walls, furniture and doors.
Nex,t lets look at the best Behr sage green paint colors.
Sage Brush by Behr. Behr describes this color as a light olive green. It's great for walls, accent walls and furniture.
Behr's Urban Nature reminds me of shades of earth tones mixed with concrete. This is a fantastic neutral green tone which makes it the classic sage green paint color. Urban Nature is wonderful for walls, trim, doors, cabinets, and exterior.
Lastly, let's look at a color from Lick Paint. They offer designer paints that are pigment rich. If you love rich colors then check out Lick Paint.
Green #2 from Lick Paint is described as a soft sage green with a balance of blue and gray. This is going to be a gorgeous sage green especially if you like vintage design or nature.
Sage green is a versatile color that pairs well with nature-inspired hues like off-white, light grey, mustard yellow, and brown. It can be treated as a neutral and is a subtle, earthy shade.
Do you want to choose the perfect sage green color for your walls, but you're not sure where to start? Here's a helpful process to follow. First, bring home your favorite sage green samples. Then, eliminate the sage green colors that you don't like, and narrow down your options to two or three of the best sage green paints.
To get the best results, buy a large sample of your top choices, if available, and hang it on your wall. Make sure you put it on a white surface if you already have a color on your wall so that the other color doesn't affect the sage green.
Next, leave the sample on your wall for a day or two and observe it in different lighting throughout the day. Once you have made up your mind, purchase a sample can of the paint and apply it on a big area of the wall. Trust me, seeing the color on a larger scale will give you the confidence to move forward with the color or try another one.
Finish the project all the way to putting your furniture back in place. It will feel more homey and you'll really get the full effect of the color.
