From 436 entries submitted by SGI members all over the world, this song, written and composed by SGI-UK member, Hugh Burns, was selected as a new SGI song. In August 1983, on the occasion of the 3rd SGI World Peace Culture Festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, this song was introduced and sung by all the participants.

Shoulder to shoulder,

Holding the banner high.

“Peace!” is the battle cry.
