The Lasting Dose is played in the key of E Minor and utilizes the Natural Minor Scale {R, M2, m3, p4, p5, b6, b7}. The intro harmony is considered to be "Harmonized in 3rds" within the Natural Minor Scale, with the parent note and the major / minor interval from that note being played simultaneously.
