IPL 2022: Ahmedabad Titans is the official name of franchise; Hardik Pandya to lead

The Ahmedabad IPL team has named itself as Ahmedabad Titans ahead of IPL 2022. The name was picked on Monday (February 7) ahead of the IPL auction this weekend.
Ahmedabad Titans will be led by India all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Earlier, the other new team in IPL 2022 Lucknow had adopted the name Super Giants.

Hardik Pandya has been announced as captain of the franchise.

IPL 2022 is all set to welcome two new teams, all the focus has been on them in last few days. One one side, RPSG Group owned franchise have been quite active as they announced their franchise name as Lucknow Super Giants few days back. However, there had been no information yet from the camp of other franchise, which was bought by CVC Capital.

Hardik Pandya has been announced as captain of the team based in Ahmedabad, with Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill as the other two draft picks. While Aashish Nehra is set to be the head coach of the team, Gary Kirsten has been roped in as mentor (batting coach) and Vikram Solanki as the Director of Cricket.
And now, the team finally has a name as well! It must be noted that Ahmedabad Titans has been revealed as the name of new franchise. An official announcement on the same is expected very soon

Ahmedabad IPL Franchise To Be Reportedly Called Ahmedabad Titans The Ahmedabad franchise, one of the two new teams in IPL 2022, had picked Hardik Pandya as their captain. They had also roped in Rashid Khan and youngster Shubman Gill.

Ahmedabad's IPL franchise has reportedly picked their name and it would be 'Ahmedabad Titans'. There is however no official confirmation of this information yet.
