Duty bearers are key to successful #EndFGM campaigns. The police are key, as they ensure key functions like legislation and policy-making, plus implementation by different players are backed by enforcement and can be done safely.

Today, on the Frontline Ending FGM Live, are three long-term #EndFGM grassroots leaders, from Kenya.

The three trailblazers have shown that collaboration can work, cross-cutting frontline activism and government responsibility.

By working together, cutters who no one thought would ever be arrested, and sympathising relatives were arraigned and prosecuted. They then keep spreading the #EndFGM word on-ground, on social and mainstream media.

We shall be discussing their work and why it matters to have the support, and also to back duty bearers on the #FrontlineEndingFGM.
