The approximately 9 kilometre Arbutus Greenway, passes through five Vancouver neighbourhoods. From north to south: Kitsilano; Fairview; Shaughnessy; Kerrisdale, and Marpole.

The Greenway started out as the Vancouver & Lulu Island Railway rail link which operated from 1902 to 1952 connecting Vancouver and Steveston, a community in Richmond.

The tracks along the Arbutus Corridor continued to be used by freight trains until 2001. In 2016 the City of Vancouver purchased the corridor to transform it into the greenway we have today.

Enjoy this ride from the start of the Greenway at Burrard Slopes Park to the end at Milton Street near Southwest Marine Drive as we continue the ride onto Richmond Island which is part of the City of Richmond and is only accessible by going through Vancouver.
